Interested in learning Spanish and exploring Latin American culture?
If so, the Latin American Graduate Student Association (LAGSA) is offering the following opportunities this Fall semester:
Spanish 101 – If you’re just starting out, LAGSA has volunteers who can meet with you and talk about language and culture basics.
Spanish Corner – For more seasoned speakers, this will be a weekly meeting at lunch. You can practice your Spanish with our native speakers while enjoying some free food.
Spanish Circle - The icing on the cake: a more in-depth view of Latin American culture. We will have Spanish-speaking movie screenings, poetry sessions, personal presentations of people and places from our volunteers and discussions on history and politics among others.
Our meetings will be open to everyone at Rice.
We want to provide to you with a good chance to learn and enjoy Spanish-speaking culture whatever your level may be. Keep in mind that we need your input in order to set up our events. Please let us know if any of the above or even anything else related interests you by clicking here or send us a message either at riceunivlagsa@rice.edu or in the section “Contact us”.
